The National Policy for the Protection of the Environment

This policy aims at ensuring a safe and healthy sustainable development for all Malians by safeguarding the environment. It constitutes a planning and management framework to deal with specific environmental issues. The document notably seeks to 1) promote the use of renewable energy sources, especially in rural areas, 2) reinforce human capabilities, and 3) improve means to fight against desertification.
