This document sets the government's roadmap to enable the automotive sector and its entire supply chain to embark on the decarbonisation road. The roadmap reiterates the commitment to electrification through investments of over £5 billion across infrastructure, manufacturing and research & development. 

The government further commits to create an adequate regulatory environment, accelerate the deployment of charging infrastructure. It also identifies the need to readying the electricity system for EV demand, notably through an uptake in renewables.
