National Programme for Agricultural Investment and Food Security (PNIASA and PNIASAN)
The Programme for Agricultural Investment and Food Security (PNIASA) was initially launched in 2010. The programme includes an investment plan and a strategy to combat food insecurity, ensure sustainability in the sector and raising farmers' wages. PNIASAN, a sub-programme focusing on food security and nutrition, was launched in 2013.
The programme was revised in 2017 to cover the period 2017-2026. Its funds are worth 750 billion CFA francs. Actions promoted include the fight against deforestation and desertification, and adaptation to climate change.
