The Strategy also aims at enhancing climate action in the Baltic sea region. It aims to do so mainly through capacity building for the sustainable management of ecosystems, sustainable management and use of natural resources, conservation of biodiversity and a decrease in emissions in the Baltic Sea. It also seeks to strengthen capacity to contribute to the climate transition and phase out fossil fuel. Lastly, it aims at increasing capacity among civil society actors and other relevant stakeholders.
