Energy Storage Strategy

legislation type Executive
Strategy
Passed in 2021
The Strategy contemplates having a storage capacity of about 20 GW in 2030 and reaching 30 GW in 2050, considering both large-scale and distributed storage. The document identifies and analyses the challenges, defines the measures for their effective deployment, assesses the opportunities and quantifies the storage needs to contribute to the decarbonisation of the energy system.
