Act to Promote the Purchase of Environmentally Friendly Products

The purpose of the Act is to promote the purchase of environmentally friendly products, as defined in the Framework Act on Low Carbon Green Growth. The Act obliges public institutions to purchase environmentally friendly products whenever possible to do so without jeopardising quality or without conflict with other specified prioritised matters.

A data management system to provide information about environmentally friendly products will be set up. There is no specific reference to climate change in the Act.
