This document aims to enable the country to profit from its important potential in hydropower, bioenergy, solar and wind as energy sources. It seeks to enable citizens to benefit from a steady supply, both on- and off-grid.

  • Government is setting as its target 4,703 Ktoe/annum (79.7%) and 8,950 Ktoe/annum (84%) of renewable energy contribution to final energy consumption by 2020 and 2030 respectively, to be produced mainly from biomass, solar, hydro and wind.
