Law on power market

The present law was signed by the Polish President in December 2017. The law aims at enhancing the security of electricity supply and new energy capacity sources, especially renewables. The law introduces a market-wide capacity mechanism. Generation and demand-response capacity providers will be able to receive remuneration for their availability to generate electricity or to reduce their electricity consumption.
