The Pakistan Council of Renewable Technologies Act

This Act legislates for institutional development by mandating the establishment of the Pakistan Council of Renewable Energy Technologies. The council will be responsible for promoting the development, acquisition, propagation and dissemination of renewable energy technologies. Specifically named technologies are: solar/photovoltaic; thermal, hydrogen, biogas/biomass, mini and micro hydro power; and wind technologies. The council will also be responsible for the liaison with national and international organi-sations to promote technical co-operation in addition to assisting the government in the industrial production of renewable energy technologies.
