Namibia's Disaster Risk Management Act, 2012 establishes the country's disaster risk management institutions, including the national and sub-national Disaster Risk Management Committees, the Namibia Vulnerability Assessment Committee, and the Disaster Risk Management Directorate. It also establishes the National Disaster Management Risk Fund, which is to serve as a contingency fund and for the development and promotion of disaster risk management.
