The Energy Climate Plan is a set of energy use and emissions reduction objectives that the government implemented in order to participate in climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts. The government decided to commit to a 20 per cent increase in energy efficiency and a 20 per cent share of final energy consumption from renewables by 2020. The Plan comprises technical, regulatory, financial and awareness campaigns actions.
