Decree No. 2022-538 defining the system of penalties applicable in the event of disregard of the provisions relating to claims of carbon neutrality in advertising

This decree sets procedural rules on sanctions relating to the assertion in an advertisement that a product or service is carbon neutral. It amends chapter IX of Title II of Book II of the Environmental Code by adding article R. 229-110. This article gives the Minister responsible for the environment the ability to sanction non-compliance with the band and failure to fulfil obligations provided for in Article L. 229- 68.
