Decree No. 2022-1282 on renewable energies in the transport sector, transposing Directive 2018/2001/EC

This decree was issued for the application of Article 9 of Ordinance No. 2021-236 of March 3, 2021 transposing Directive 2018/2001/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of December 11, 2018 in the field of renewable energies in the transport sector. 

The energy code sets a 2030 target of 15% renewable energy in final energy consumption in the transport sector and an advanced biofuels and biogas target of 3.5%. Only biofuels, bioliquids and fuels or fuels derived from biomass that meet criteria that comply with the requirements of sustainable development, referred to as "criteria for sustainability and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions", may be taken into account for assess compliance with these objectives. This decree specifies the methods for calculating these objectives.
