The Ecuadorian Constitutional Court is asked to review the constitutionality of a bilateral treaty on climate change, biodiversity and sustainable development between Ecuador and Peru. The court considered that the treaty was in line with the constitution and that its provisions abide the spirit of the constitution. However, the court recalled that for the procedure to be fully constitutional, this international agreement must be approved by the parliament
