This Strategy examines how Burkina Faso can best allocate efforts to maximise growth and enable sustainable development over the period 2011-2015. The document notably emphasises on 1) the importance of fighting against land degradation in a context of a deteriorating climate, 2) making the energy system more sustainable and protecting carbon sequestration wells by reducing wood use, and 3) modify development policies so that they cope with climate change mitigation and adaptation objectives.
